A better way to manage Google Contacts

Umfeld is not an alternative to Google Contacts. It is the layer on top of it. Your contacts sync both ways: new and changed contacts flow in from Google, and when you delete a contact in Umfeld or merge two duplicates, that change flows back into Google too.

What the sync actually does
The sync is not a one-time snapshot. Umfeld reads what changed through the Google People API and pulls it in. Multiple emails and phone numbers per person stay intact, labels included: home, work, mobile, whatever you set in Google. What is new is the layer for context and relationships: where you met, how close you are, who introduced you, and what you talked about at your last meeting.
