What's included
One plan, every feature. Nothing sits behind a pricier tier, not the relationship graph, not the AI features.
- Full, ongoing sync with Google Contacts
- The relationship graph, with every link between your contacts
- AI summaries and search across your notes
- The MCP server that lets Claude, ChatGPT, or an editor read your Umfeld
- A health score on every contact, so you see who's cooling off
The only difference between the two billing options is price: pay yearly and you save 17 percent over the monthly rate.
Why there's no free plan
The honest answer: syncing an address book runs in the background every day, for every user, whether you open the app or not. That costs server and API money on an ongoing basis. A product with no revenue ends up going one of two ways: it shuts down, or it pays for itself some other way, usually by selling your data.
So there's no free tier. Instead you get seven days to try Umfeld properly, and after that a price that actually covers running it.
One price, no infrastructure of your own
Umfeld runs exclusively as a hosted service, operated from Europe. You do not need to set up your own server, your own Google API access, or, if you use the AI features, your own OpenAI key. All of that is included in the price.
What that means for you: no hidden infrastructure costs, no server you have to keep running yourself. Where your data actually lives is covered under EU hosting.
